Hello, world! I'm Angela, a self-proclaimed travel junkie and I feel as though my life has been a rich tapestry woven with lifelong experiences living in different countries, learning new cultures and calling more than one place home. I grew up feeling deeply connected to Italy and I have my parents to thank for that. They took any opportunity provided to them to travel “home”, as they would say and I don’t even remember never not loving this country. Soon after high school, I set my mind to it and moved to Italy along with my high school friend Filomena. I fell in love with Rome, a city that from the outside seemed crowded, chaotic, loud and overwhelming but only began to understand this city once I became a part of it; and only then did it start to make sense to me why leaving this city would became one of the hardest things I have ever had to do. I studied at the University of Rome, where I earned a degree in Modern Languages and Literature and settled into Italian life without skipping a beat. But as life would have it, the unexpected became the expected. I met my backpacking husband while working in the tourism industry in Europe and my next chapter began. I started a new life in one of the biggest and most extraordinary cities in the world – Mexico City. My early years were spent learning the language and studying and during that time I became a professional certified sommelier and fine food expert. I would continue to spent the next two decades leading successful startups in the travel, design, and the food and hospitality industry which has been nothing short of fulfilling. Most of my professional career focused on creating, training and leading teams to become the most knowledgeable and successful players in their industry. Not only did my professional career grow but so did my family. I have 2 beautiful children who have had the gift of living and sharing in the heritage and languages of more than one culture and people. I’m a Canadian by birth, but a citizen of the world in spirit. I call more than one place home. Each place I have visited or lived in, is reminiscent of the people who have crossed my path, enriched my life, and helped create the memories I carry in my heart today. Being all over the map is what makes me feel alive. Life is too precious to not live it and pursue ones passions.
